Also, we have closed the vents (similar to in the winter) and doors to all the rooms that we don’t regularly use. This way the AC isn’t wasted on cooling those rooms.

In an effort to keep our house cool and not have to use the AC as much, we have closed all the south facing blinds. This way there will be less sunshine beating down into those rooms.

Kamut Lasagna noodles

Yesterday I made pasta rolls using Kamut lasagna noodles from Artisan Acres. They are made from organic kamut.

This weekend I planted Organic Seeds from Greta’s Organics; one of which was the Red Salad Bowl Seeds!

Organic Sweet Potatoes

On Saturday May 22nd, we had ‘Tomorrow’s organics’ sweet potatoes (USDA) on the BBQ. They were great wrapped in foil with oil and some S&P.

I really like the Roots Down farm and website. They are always so nice at the Ottawa Farmer’s Market too. I wanted to let them know and thank them for it.

I love my spicy salad mix (today at lunch and then it is all gone) that I bought from Roots Down Organic Farm at the Ottawa’s Farmers Market last Saturday. I loved their pea shoots from the weekend before. Can’t wait until Sunday to buy MORE!!!!!
